Numerical Analysis of Friction Reduction and ATSLB Capacity of Lubricated MTS with Textured Micro-Elements

The simulation analysis numerically investigates the thermoelastic lubricated interfacial Textured Micro-Element (TME) load-bearing contact, a theoretical model is proposed, and effective friction reduction Anti-Thermoelastic Scuffing Load bearing (ATSLB) capacity between random rough Meshing Teeth Surfaces (MTS) are presented, mechanism linking lubrication, TME meshing ATSLB revealed. real contact domain area MTS with multi-scale Textures (MET) obtained for numerical calculation of three-dimensional equivalent volume, which correlation bridge lubrication interface. proposed predicts time-varying behaviour textured interface load under conditions. Numerical simulations show that volume key to solving problem line randomly teeth surfaces. coefficients reduced by 13–24%. quantified voids actual ratio, provides new perspective further insight into MET-ATSLB coupling mechanism.
